Our story

A warm corner of St Albans since 1997

A fresh chapter for a much-loved cafe, under new ownership since 2024.

Cafe Roma has been part of St Peter's Street since 1997, serving the St Albans community for nearly three decades. In 2024 Velina took over, bringing a decade of experience as a store manager at Costa and a genuine passion for great coffee and warm hospitality.

Under her care the cafe has a cosy atmosphere, genuinely warm service and proper espresso, with fresh energy and small touches that make every visit feel considered. Whether you are stopping in on the walk to work or settling in for the afternoon, you are welcome to stay a while.
